How to Merge PDF Files

1. Add two or more PDF files. 2. Arrange them in the order you want. 3. Press Process files. 4. Download the combined document.

Merge PDF files when several documents belong together, such as reports, scanned records, assignment pages, or supporting attachments. The order you choose becomes the page order of the output PDF.

When to Merge PDF Documents

Combine Related Reports

Put a report, appendix, and supporting document into one file when the receiving system expects a single attachment.

Combine Scanned Pages

Turn separately scanned PDF documents into one ordered document.

Prepare a Single Submission File

Combine supporting records before uploading them to a portal or sending them by email.

Why Merge PDFs in Your Browser

This tool combines your files on your own device, so the documents are not uploaded anywhere. That matters for contracts, invoices, ID scans and any file you would rather not send to a third party. Each file can be up to 50 MB.

Tips for Getting the Order Right

  • Add the files, then use the up and down buttons to set the final order before you merge. The order in the list is the page order of the result.
  • Rename files with a number prefix (01, 02, 03) so they are easy to recognise in the list.
  • Check that scanned pages are all in the same orientation before you merge.
  • Keep your originals until you have checked the merged file.

If a Merge Fails

Most failures come from the input files. Password-protected or encrypted PDFs may not open, so remove the protection in the app that created them first. A damaged or partly downloaded file will also fail, so re-download it. Very large files can run out of memory on phones; try a computer or merge fewer files at a time.

Supported Files and Output

Accepts PDF files, at least two, up to 50 MB each. The result is a single file named merged.pdf. Pages keep their original size and quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the PDF merger free?

Yes. There is no charge and no account is needed.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Merging runs in your browser, so the files stay on your device.

Is there a page limit?

There is no page limit set by the tool. Each file can be up to 50 MB, and very large documents depend on your device memory.

Does merging reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied into the new document as they are, not re-rendered, so text and images keep their original quality.
